Hello Mr. And Mrs. Garrett. This is Nekia D. I met you at the Harlem Fair a couple of weekends ago and my mom purchased your book. I am writing because I just finished reading it and I am totally amazed by it. It was wonderfully written...It is a must read and everyone, especially African Americans, should own a copy...

"Against A Brick Wall" was Amazing. I didn't want to put it down. The characters were very real. The book is like a journey behind the scene of the corporate world from a black man's view. This book would make a great movie!

Hello Everyone, I would like to add my two cents. I really enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to a sequal. Many of the day to day work situations that the main character faced were very relatable. If you are unsure, take a chance this was a very good read you will enjoy.

I just had the opportunity to complete reading your book. I wanted to shoot you a message saying that I thought it was very good. At times I had to force myself to put it down, so that I could sleep.

Take care, and good look with your next book.

Although your book is a work of fiction, the topic that you cover certainly is not. Thank you for using your talent to address an issue that we surely face as we attempt to climb the corporate ladder. And thank you for "keepin it real" throughout, especially the ending. Congratulations, and God Bless you!

Great book, complete page turner. Gives a great insight into the inner workings of Corporate America. If one has not been there and done that, it is an eye opener. This book should be mandatory reading for anyone going into the Corporate world, especially if he or she is a minority. Looking forward to the sequel. Keep up the good work Tom!!!

Outstanding, True, Real - to the point. That is all I can say about this book. As I was reading it, I said to myself "Wow, this is what is happening in Corporate America today and everyday" until we as African Americans stand up and do something about it. I found myself up at 2:00AM reading the book until it was finished. I can't wait to read the sequel. Keep up the good work and may God continue to bless you!!!!!! Thank you Leslie for introducing me to the book when you came into the Building Office.

As I am not an avid fiction reader, I was somewhat reluctant to reading the book. However, because I said I would, I began reading your novel. It is outstanding! This is the very thing that Colleges and University fail to teach us as we spend numerous dollars and matriculate through, only to arrive into the universe of corporate america bright-eyed, bushy-tailed and most importantly, naive! This should be a must read for soon-to-be college grads. It encompasses all that they will encounter. The group dynamics were true and real. Though fiction, this is as close to a text book as one can get and remain riveting and enjoyable! Mr. Garrett, you have outdone yourself! Please let me know when your next project is complete, as I can't wait. By the way, I am only 3/4 of the way through the book, so I know there is much more to come! Superb!!!!!

Leslie, Bravo! Congratulations to your husband for writing an excellent, tell all, tell it like it "is" book. Although fictional, I feel a lot of insight on the plight of African Americans in corporate was provided. Initially, I thought that the book was much too long and detailed but it just continued to get better and better! I was compelled to keep reading it. By the time I reached the last few chapters, I could not put it down. Although the ending was a surprise, it was not really a "surprise." It was justb realistic!!!!

Please pass this message on to your husband. I am proud of him and of you. I know writing the book must have been a struggle but he is fortunate to have you at his side. I can't wait for the sequel.

As I watched the clock turn to 12:00am, I decided, "Hey, it's already late...I can't stop now." I found this book to be full of suspense, intrigue and romance. As an avid reader, I am definitely recommending "Against A Brick Wall." Not only to my African-American counterparts, but to all that appreciate great reading. I am sure that Spike Lee and other film directors would find this a great movie script. Ironically, you designed your website with stars, so why not "shoot" for them. Thanks for great reading.

Peace..Cele

Your book is powerfull and real, something most African American can identify with in Corporate America. The characters remind me of my cronnies growing up in East Flatbush Brooklyn. I see a movie in the near future!!!!
